Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-09-06

Welcome to CSS to Tailwind. By accessing or using this website and its tools (“the Service,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

CSS to Tailwind provides free, browser-side developer utilities, including:

  • a CSS to Tailwind converter and related mapping tools;
  • secondary developer utilities (formatters, minifiers, generators, and similar helpers);
  • guides, FAQ, and methodology documentation.

Conversion and most tool processing run locally in your browser after assets load. We do not operate a conversion API that receives your CSS snippets for mapping. Features may change, be limited, or be removed at any time. We do not promise that every feature works on every browser, device, or CSS input.

Agreement to the Terms

Using the Service constitutes acceptance of these Terms and of the Disclaimer. Continued use after we post updates means you accept the revised Terms.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful development, education, and related purposes. You agree not to:

  • use the Service for illegal activity or to process content you do not have rights to use;
  • attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape abusively, or compromise the site or other users;
  • misrepresent affiliation with CSS to Tailwind or present output as if we endorse your product;
  • bypass technical limits, inject malware, or interfere with normal operation.

Your content and responsibility

You retain ownership of CSS, HTML, text, and other inputs you paste into the tools. We claim no ownership of that content. Because processing is local, we do not receive conversion snippets for storage on a conversion server.

You are solely responsible for:

  • having the rights to paste, convert, or modify any code you process;
  • reviewing generated utilities visually and in code review before production;
  • keeping backups of original source files;
  • compliance with your employer’s policies, licenses, and applicable law.

Intellectual property

The site’s branding, layout, documentation text, and software we publish remain our property or that of our licensors, except for your own inputs and third-party marks (such as “Tailwind”) which belong to their respective owners. These Terms grant a limited, non-exclusive right to use the Service for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership of the site or allow you to resell, clone, or misrepresent the Service as your own.

No warranties

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, or error-free operation. Conversion is heuristic; we do not guarantee complete, pixel-perfect, or production-ready output. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CSS to Tailwind and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising from use of or inability to use the Service. If liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, our total liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us to use it — which is currently zero for normal free use.

Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service without notice. The static site may experience downtime, browser incompatibilities, or broken links. We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.

Third-party links and services

The Service may link to third-party sites or rely on optional third-party endpoints (for example a configured contact-form provider). We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or performance. Their terms and privacy policies apply to those services.
