Disclaimer
Last updated: 2026-09-06
The information and tools on CSS to Tailwind (“we,” “us,” or “the site”) are offered in good faith for general developer use. By using this website, you agree to this disclaimer. For related rules, see our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
General information
CSS to Tailwind provides a free, browser-side CSS→Tailwind converter, related developer utilities, and educational guides. Conversion and most tool processing run locally in your browser after assets load. We do not operate a conversion API that receives your CSS snippets for mapping.
This site is a developer utility and documentation set. It is not professional design, accessibility, legal, or security advice, and it is not a substitute for reviewing code in your own project.
Conversion accuracy
CSS to Tailwind conversion is heuristic. Common layout, spacing, typography, color, border, and effect declarations often map cleanly. Advanced or unusual CSS may be incomplete, flagged in notes, or left for manual work.
- There is no guarantee of exact visual or behavioral equivalence with your original CSS.
- Arbitrary values, media queries, CSS variables,
calc(), animations, nested rules, and complex selectors frequently need human judgment. - Generated utilities should be reviewed visually and in code review before production.
- We do not claim “100% conversion,” pixel-perfect output, or that Tailwind’s build will match your previous stylesheet.
No warranties
The website, converter, tools, guides, and all output are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Without limiting that statement, we do not warrant that:
- the tools will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free;
- conversions or other outputs will be complete, accurate, or fit for every purpose;
- the site will be free of bugs, browser incompatibilities, or technical issues;
- documentation will always match every edge case in the live engine (though we aim to keep them aligned).
Your responsibility
You are solely responsible for how you use this site and any output you copy into your projects. That includes:
- verifying converted classes against your design system, browsers, and accessibility requirements;
- keeping backups of original CSS and source files;
- confirming you have the right to paste, convert, or modify any code you process;
- not relying on this tool as the only QA step for production UI.
Because conversion runs on your device, we cannot recover, restore, or access snippets you paste into the editors.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CSS to Tailwind and its operators shall not be liable for any loss or damage — including but not limited to data loss, broken layouts, production defects, lost profits, or any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — arising from the use of, or inability to use, this website, its tools, or its documentation.
